A true pioneer in women's health, Dr. Vivian Pinn, retires from NIH.

NAMME President-elect awarded professional achievement award: On Friday, March 5, Dr. Carolyn Booker was awarded the Women in Science, Dentistry and Medicine (WISDM) Professional Achievement Award for VCU's School of Dentistry.

The WISDM Professional Achievement Award was established in 1993. It acknowledges the contributions and accomplishments of women faculty in the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. Presented annually at the spring WISDM Leadership Conference, the purpose of the award it to recognize a woman who is a role model and mentor, promoting the professional development of other women faculty.

Former NAMME President contributes to important White Paper on the Health Professions Pipeline: Wilma Sykes-Brown, MA, former NAMME president (2007 - 2009) joins colleagues of the Healthcare Workforce Consortium to produce a white paper - "Developing the Health Professions Pipeline: Now or Never".
